Today you will first visit the world’s biggest city plaza, the Tiananmen Square; then walk to the marvelous “Egg” (National Centre for the Performing Arts) to take some pictures from its outside; subsequently, go to the Forbidden City, the most complete imperial palace in China; and later proceed to the impressive Temple of Heaven. Day 3 Beijing ( B, L, D )

After breakfast, drive to the Badaling Great Wall (about 80 km, 1.5hours) where you will experience at first hand the wonder of the Great Wall. For lunch you’ll sample some delicious fare in a local restaurant. Afterwards, visit the Sacred Way and Changling, one of the Ming Tombs; on the way back to your hotel, you might make a stop at the Beijing Olympic Village to take some photos of the Bird’s Nest and the Water Cube from the outside; Feel a little bit tired? Day 4 Beijing – Shanghai ( B, L )

After breakfast, youll marvel at the exquisite Summer Palace, the imperial garden. Your Beijing tour ends. After lunch, take a flight to Shanghai from Beijing.     The Jinshanling Great Wall has an elevation of 2100 feet. There is a cableway up to the Jinshanling Great Wall. The fact is that it is very easy to walk up to the Great Wall. Hiking for 3 to 4 hours on its section. Each tower has its unique feature and look. There are relatively less crowded here at Jinshanling Great Wall, it is a nice place to explore the Great Wall around Beijing.

    After the hiking, get down the hill at about 3:30PM. After lunch, transferred back to your downtown hotel in Beijing.

            Today our tour guide will meet you and pick you up from your hotel around 8:00 am. Then drive to the beautiful Mutianyu Great Wall (80km away from Beijing downtown), it is known for its beautiful surroundings. It is a superb location to appreciate the grandness of the Great Wall as well as to avoid the crowds at Badaling.

            After the hiking, you will have the lunch on the foot of Badaling. Many classic Chinese dishes are arranged for you, including: the hongshao rou, beer fish, Mapo tofu, braised meat, etc. Then move on to the Ming Tombs (Changling) and its Sacred Way.

            On the way back, you may make a stop at the Beijing Olympic Village to take some pictures of the world-famed “Birds Nest” and the “Water Cube” from the outside.

Historically, the store cooked light snacks for the royal family or governmental officials in the Qing Dynasty. But today it has become a familiar brand to every Beijinger, is famous for Chinese pastries, candies, cooked meat, and fast-frozen food.

            Then head to visit the Hutong by rickshaw. you will pay a visit to a local Siheyuan family and learn how to make dumplings with the housewife from the local vegetable market to the table.
