JAKARTA, August 10 — Indonesia’s condition-possessed energy firm PT Pertamina has imported 1.two million barrels of fuel to satisfy the surge in consumption throughout the Idul Fitri holidays later this month, when huge numbers of people will celebrate the finish from the fasting month, a business official stated on Friday.

Pertamina business and marketing director Hanung Budya Yuktyanta stated that the quantity from the imported fuel could be enough for 17 times of consumption pre and post the Idul Fitri holidays.

He stated that fuel consumption was forecasted to improve 3.3 % throughout the holiday season, that will occur from mid August to early September.

“The rise of imported fuel is ample to make sure fuel supplies when there’s a rise sought after throughout Lebaran,” he stated, cited through the Jakarta Publish online.

He stated the imported fuel includes 740,000 barrels of subsidized premium fuel, 200,000 barrels of biodiesel fuel and 80Thousand barrels of aviation fuel.

Pertamina bought the extra fuel in the place market through its subsidiary – Pertamina Energy Buying and selling Limited, he stated, adding that the organization would import another 600,000 barrels of premium fuel this month just to be certain the current supply could be sufficient.
