BEIJING, June 25 — People from the Li ethnic minority from China’s southernmost island province of Hainan will show a performance of traditional song and dance in Beijing on Monday and Tuesday evening.
“Bark houses, seaside houses and Li textiles is going to be placed on stage to exhibit the initial aspects of the Li minority via tunes, dance, poems and works of art,” stated Lin Yuxiang, the show’s chief director.
The dancing drama, named “Story of Li Nationality” and produced with different tale relayed through the forefathers from the minority, will narrate the way the early Li people migrated and chosen the area.
Based on Lin, the Li minority includes a population of just one.3 million in China, using more than 90 % residing in Hainan, and all sorts of stage props are collected using their towns.
The performance forms area of the 4th Minority Art Festival of China, which started on June 7 and can run until This summer 6. Its program is composed of 41 shows encompassing acrobatics, folk dance, traditional opera and modern drama.[db:内容2]
