Liberia, India universities sign research, exchange MoU


MONROVIA, Sept. 9 — The state-run University of Liberia (UL) and O.P. Jindal Global University of India sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for partnership, cooperation and collaboration, according to an official statement reaching here on Monday.
UL President Emmett Dennis and Vice Chancellor of the O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU) C. Raj Kumar signed the document for their respective institution.
The MoU covers student exchange, faculty collaboration and visits, research, joint publication and summer internships.
Under the MoU, five students from the JGU will be sent for master programs at the UL per year, while the UL will have five students per year for similar programs at the JGU.
It provides for a regular “India-Liberia Research Platform” of the joint research initiative that encompasses partner schools or departments across the various disciplines.
The MoU follows a state visit by Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf.[db:内容2]
