Chinese calligraphy on show in Times Square

BEIJING, Dec. 26 — Festive celebrations are of course going on around the world. And that’s certainly true in New York City.
A group of Chinese calligraphers there are sharing their best wishes with people as part of a world tour. In Times Square the Chinese characters “你好世界,新年快乐” which means “Hello world, Happy new year” written in traditional Chinese calligraphy appeared on a billboard. Four respected Chinese calligraphers wrote blessings for people around the world. The work will continue its tour to cities including Tokyo, Paris and Frankfurt.
