Day 1 Beijing Arrival

Welcome to Beijing! Clear the customs and retrieve your baggage by yourself upon arrival, be greeted by our tour guide in the Arrival Hall who is holding a sign on which says your name; transferred by your private car/van to your hotel downtown. The rest of the day is your own time.

Day 2 Beijing ( B, L )

Today you will first visit the world’s biggest city plaza, the Tiananmen Square; then walk to the marvelous “Egg” (National Centre for the Performing Arts) to take some pictures from its outside; subsequently, go to the Forbidden City, the most complete imperial palace in China; and later proceed to the impressive Temple of Heaven. After the sightseeing tour, you’ll be driven back to your hotel.

Day 3 Beijing ( B, L, D )

After breakfast, drive to the Badaling Great Wall (about 80 km, 1.5hours) where you will experience at first hand the wonder of the Great Wall. For lunch you’ll sample some delicious fare in a local restaurant. Afterwards, visit the Sacred Way and Changling, one of the Ming Tombs; on the way back to your hotel, you might make a stop at the Beijing Olympic Village to take some photos of the Bird’s Nest and the Water Cube from the outside. Feel a little bit tired? Not to worry! We will arrange a foot massage (free of charge) for you, just relax and enjoy it! With a Peking Roast Duck dinner you will complete today’s tour!

Day 4 Beijing – Shanghai ( B )

Today you will take a flight to Shanghai from Beijing. On your arrival at Shanghai airport, your tour guide will pick you up to check in to your hotel in Shanghai. Rest of the day is free for you to explore the metropolis.

Day 5 Shanghai ( B, L, D )

Today you will visit the Oriental TV Tower, Huangpu River Cruise, Peoples Square, Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall and Nanjing Road. After dinner in a local restaurant we arranged for you, drive to enjoy a Shanghai Acrobatics Show.

Oriental Pearl TV Tower is the highest TV and radio tower in Asia and the third tallest in the world. It was built in 1994 and soon became Shanghai’s landmark.

Huangpu River Cruise: Cruising on the Huangpu River has become a must for most visitors to Shanghai.

People Square is the site of Shanghai’s municipal government building, and is used as the standard reference point for measurement of distance in the Shanghai municipality.

Shanghai Urban Planning Hall is a vivid model of Shanghai’s history. Each floor has its own theme based on Shanghai’s development.

Nanjing Road is Shanghai’s main shopping street, enjoying the fame as “the No.1 commercial street of China”.

Day 6 Shanghai ( B, L )

Today will visit the Yuyuan Garden firstly, which is a virtual maze of caves, gardens, rockeries, paths, bridges and buildings. Every corner you turn has a new surprise, and a total different view. Then drive to the Jade Buddha Temple, the most famous Buddhist temple in Shanghai. After lunch, youll visit the Nongtang in Shanghai. Longtangs in Shanghai are just like Hutongs in Beijing. Experience the old lifestyle of Shanghai people.
Then drive to Xintaindi. Xintiandi is an affluent car-free shopping, eating and entertainment district of Shanghai, China. It is composed of an area of reconstituted traditional shikumen (“stone gate”) houses on narrow alleys, some adjoining houses which now serve as book stores, cafes and restaurants, and shopping malls. Xintiandi has an active nightlife, though romantic settings are more common than loud music and dance places.

Day 7 Shanghai Departure ( B )

Today will be free for you to explore the city by your own, and depending on your departure flight schedule, your tour guide will escort you to take the Maglev Train at 430 km per hour to the airport to return to Beijing or your next destination.
